Eumovate Cream from Vietnam – 5 g
Eumovate Cream contains Clobetasone, a moderate-potency topical corticosteroid that helps relieve inflammation, redness, and itching caused by various skin conditions. It is suitable for adults, elderly, children, and infants.
This cream is effective for treatment of inflammatory skin disorders that respond to corticosteroids, including:
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema);
- Allergic or irritant contact dermatitis;
- Seborrheic dermatitis;
- Diaper rash;
- Photodermatitis (light-induced skin inflammation);
- Otitis externa (inflammation of outer ear);
- Prurigo nodularis (itchy nodules);
- Reactions to insect bites.
Mechanism of Action:
Topical corticosteroids act as anti-inflammatory agents by reducing allergic reactions, inhibiting mast cell activity, decreasing cytokine production, and suppressing arachidonic acid metabolism. Eumovate also has antipruritic and vasoconstrictive properties.
Pharmacokinetics:
- Absorption: Systemic absorption may occur depending on the integrity of epidermal barrier and use of occlusive dressings.
- Metabolism: Once absorbed, Clobetasone undergoes hepatic metabolism similar to systemic corticosteroids.
- Elimination: Excreted mainly through kidneys; some metabolites may be excreted in bile.
Directions for Use:
- Apply a thin layer of Eumovate Cream to affected area 1–2 times daily.
- Massage gently until absorbed.
- Reduce frequency as condition improves or switch to a lower-potency corticosteroid.
- Do not use under occlusive dressings unless directed by your doctor.
- For insect bites: apply 2–3 times per day on clean, dry skin.
Precautions:
Avoid prolonged use on large skin areas, broken skin, or under bandages. Not suitable for use around eyes or mucous membranes. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Consult a doctor before use in children under 12 months.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Clobetasone or any excipients;
- Viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections;
- Rosacea, acne, or perioral dermatitis;
- Untreated skin lesions or open wounds.
Side Effects:
- Local irritation or burning sensation;
