Vinatea Chrysanthemum Honey Herbal Tea from Vietnam – 20 Tea Bags
Black tea with chrysanthemum flowers, made by Vinatea in Vietnam. Flowers are sourced from Nghia Trai in Hung Yen province which has been growing chrysanthemum for this kind of tea for a long time. No sugar added, sweetness comes from stevia and licorice that are already in the blend. When you brew it the color goes pale golden, smell is light and floral, nothing overwhelming.
Chrysanthemum with licorice is just a very old combination in Vietnamese tea, you see it everywhere.
Vinatea have had this particular blend in their lineup since back in the 80s, way before herbal teas became a thing people talked about online.
What’s inside:
Black tea, dried chrysanthemum flowers (Chrysanthemum morifolium), stevia leaf (Stevia rebaudiana), licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra).
Brewing it:
One bag into a cup, hot water on top, leave it 3 to 5 minutes. You dont really need to add sugar or honey, the licorice and stevia already take care of that. If you leave the bag too long it gets a bit bitter so just pull it when it looks right. Color is your guide, pale golden means its ready.
How much:
- One or two cups through the day is plenty. Worth knowing theres actual black tea in here so probaly skip it in the evening if caffiene keeps you up.
