Daktarin oral gel – Antifungal oral gel – 10g
Indications:
Fungal infections such as oral thrush occur when the balance of natural bacteria in your body becomes disrupted. This causes yeast and fungus to thrive in warm, moist areas. Symptoms of oral fungal infections include white or yellow patches, a cotton-like sensation in your mouth and dry, cracked skin (among other symptoms).
Composition:
Miconazole 200mg/10g;
How to use Daktarin gel:
Adults and children: half a measuring spoon, 4 times a day.
Children from 6 to 24 months: 1/4 scoop 4 times a day.
Wrap the gauze with your finger, inject the medicine into the mouth. Keep the medicine in your mouth for as long as possible. Continue for at least 1 week after symptoms resolve.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Infants under 6 months of age or children who do not have a fully developed swallowing reflex.
Drug interactions:
terfenadine, astemizole, and cisapride (should not be taken together). Oral anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents, phenytoin, cyclosporin, and tacrolimus (reduce dose if used together)
Side effects:
– nausea, vomiting.
– Long-term treatment can cause diarrhea.
Rarely: allergies.
Precautions:
babies and children: try not to block your throat. Be careful not to choke.
